This module is designed to provide an overview of the recommendations for the classification and treatment of pressure injuries from the Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Injuries: Clinical practice guideline. The International Guideline (2019).
It is focused on the aged population and is most relevant for personal care workers and assistant nurses who are working in the residential aged care setting.
Some information provided here is designed to broaden your general knowledge base of how pressure injuries are classified and treated. Classification, dressing selection and dressings are usually attended by registered nurses (and in some cases, enrolled nurses).
The information in this module is for the purpose of providing continuing professional development. All participants should refer to local protocols for your scope of practice.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
